About the event
Muriel suffers from pareidolia—don’t worry, it’s nothing serious—but she sees images in everything around her. Hearts, in particular, seem to emerge everywhere along her path.
These shapes, which have become a central theme in her artistic universe, inspired her to create a photographic and pictorial series around this universal symbol.
During the pandemic, Muriel challenged herself to paint a watercolor heart every day, as a message of love and connection during times of isolation and separation.
These hearts, shared on social media, sent as postcards, or kept as mementos of an extraordinary period, reflect her desire to spread love and kindness.
Today, most of these hearts are brought together in this exhibition. Each heart tells a story, ready to touch and resonate with those who encounter them. Far from the eyes, but never from the heart.
